Success Stories

A selection of just some of the ways we have been able to help organisations.

Rebuilding Ukraine Inclusively

CASE STUDY ONE

Unheard Voice was contacted after a web search, in Ukraine, revealed it to be a leading voice for inclusion in the Built Environment.

Inspired by Marsha’s passion and expertise they requested a lecture about how they can rebuild their country to be “a more convenient place to live” for returning veterans and civilians.

What We Delivered

Marsha spent several days honing and scripting a 45-60 minute lecture with slides about bias, behaviours and how inclusive design principles can be more successfully applied to building and rebuilding in Ukraine, using cultural intelligence, whilst being mindful of the specific war torn context.

She learnt some Ukrainian and introduced and concluded in the language, after finding and being coached by a Ukrainian neighbour.

The Outcomes

The CEO of the development firm said:

“I’d like to personally thank you for the excellent lecture on inclusivity that you delivered to our community. Your dedication to making the world a more inclusive place is commendable and greatly appreciated.

Your insights have undoubtedly broadened our perspectives, and we are now better equipped to foster a more inclusive atmosphere within our organisation. Once again, we are grateful to you for sharing your expertise with us. Your contribution has been invaluable, and we look forward to the possibility of collaborating with you in the future.”

An Architecture Firm Initial Intervention

CASE STUDY TWO

Unheard Voice was contacted after Marsha left her position as Director of Inclusion at RIBA, as she developed a reputation for delivering great insight, guidance and support for the architecture profession. The firm is aware of it’s current demographics and wanted to have some understanding how to address it.

What We Delivered

We designed a programme that would take the firm’s leadership through CQ training and coaching pinpointing live issues which could be targeted and managed with an inclusive approach.

It started with an initial introduction to the whole piece with a 2-hour workshop.

The Outcomes

A Director at the firm said:

“The first session felt like a well worked teaser; it was clearly just scratching the surface of a complex and often intimidating subject. But equally, it provided a tantalising glimpse of the possibilities that lie ahead.”
